Seven brave Spreckley employees have made the momentous decision to tackle the mighty Three Peaks Challenge… Ahead of us are the towering peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, all three of which we will need to summit and descend in a measly 24-hour period.
Is it brave? Is it stupid? Whichever way you look at it, we will need vast reserves of grit, stamina and mental fortitude in order to complete our task. Flapjacks, Percy Pigs and chocolate bars will be nice too! We’re willing to take on painful blisters, blustery Scottish conditions and the spectre of sleep deprivation in order to get there… you could say that this is our Everest.
But this expedition is about a lot more than just learning to endure one another’s presence outside of office hours. We’re raising money for Ambitious about Autism, a charity that does fantastic work in making ordinary life possible for people on the autistic spectrum. By running a network of schools and colleges across the country, the charity makes a huge difference to the children and young people in their care, while also raising awareness of autism and campaigning for change. It’s a more than worthy cause, and every penny you can give will count.
