Big brand digital headhunter hires Spreckley

Specialist recruiter Beringer Tame and its sister company Hannington Tame have appointed Spreckley as its retained public relations agency, to deliver a thought leadership and corporate profiling campaign as the country comes out of lockdown.

Founded and headed up by CEO Patrick Tame, Beringer Tame works with some of the biggest household brands to headhunt the country’s leading digital talent, and place people in pivotal roles within ecommerce and online marketing. Its sister company, Hannington Tame, which is led by partner James Minter, provides expertise in the same field of eCommerce and online marketing, but focuses on executive searching for digital leadership roles.

With offices in Basingstoke and London, the recruitment firms have called in Spreckley to promote their innovative approach to meeting demand for digital talent as the economy comes out of the COVID-19 crisis.

Mr Tame commented: “We are more than aware that the past few months have been unbelievably hard on not just the recruitment sector, but the economy as a whole. But as we start the long process of unlocking and leaving our homes, we are walking into a business environment that has changed for good.

“This is not just about a revolution in home working, this is about the wholescale digital transformation of businesses across multiple sectors. And to drive that change businesses need talent with experience and native understanding. We needed to find an agency partner that not only understands that but can actively communicate that to the market.”

Unlike other recruiters whose world revolves around a scattergun approach to sending CVs out in the hope that something will stick, Beringer Tame and Hannington Tame place the talent at the heart of what they do, no matter the level.

“We believe that Spreckley will help us to bring digital to Board-level agendas and help us help our clients in turn as they navigate the post-COVID landscape. It’s this market we want to talk to, and Spreckley’s experience working with small businesses challenging the way things ‘should be done’, as well as its strong understanding of the digital marketing/ecommerce space – and current challenges for recruiters like us face – that impressed us,” Mr Tame added.

Richard Merrin, Managing Director of Spreckley added: “It’s no longer good enough to pander to employer-clients and get the talent to fit the role – this is why Beringer Tame and Hannington are different, because they filter, nurture and listen, and as a result, understand digital and ecommerce as well as they do. They know the trends, and through this they’ve demonstrated an incredible track record in placing some of the industry’s most successful bodies in top companies. It’s a rare opportunity to get to work with such a well-connected group of people let alone one that helps digital leaders carve their career paths, and we look forward to spreading their message.”
