Spreckley spotlights funding momentum at Belgian spacetech EDGX

The client

EDGX is a Belgian spacetech company on a mission to deliver the world’s fastest edge computing service for satellites. Its flagship product, EDGX Sterna, is a high-performance AI data processing unit based on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin, enabling real-time onboard data processing in orbit. Founded in 2023, EDGX is headquartered in Ghent, Belgium.

THE GOALS

EDGX approached Spreckley with plans for a campaign on its latest funding round. The funding round, worth €2.3 million, would be used to advance its mission to commercialise its flagship product Sterna, a high-performance edge computer for satellites.

The campaign would coincide with EDGX’s attendance at the Small Sat conference, an important industry event in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Spreckley was challenged to effectively communicate a highly complex technical innovation to the press and secure coverage within spacetech, telecoms, tech and startups titles. Geographically, the campaign targeted the European, US and MENA markets.

THE SOLUTION

Spreckley began working with EDGX in July 2025, drafting a press announcement that clearly demonstrated the potential use cases for Sterna across a range of industries and targeting the top press in each vertical from the outset.

Tailored pitches were shared under embargo with target journalists in space, tech, business and telecoms to secure interest and carry out interviews ahead of launch.

This ensured broad coverage of the funding announcement on the day itself, complemented by follow-up briefings and Q&A sessions with the founder and CEO, featured in publications such as Payload, The Mobile Network, Orbital Today, and Via Satellite.

The release was also distributed on the wires for an additional boost, particular for investor audiences.

"Working with the Spreckley team has been a great experience. Their proactive communication and strategic approach to positioning EDGX in the space sector made a real difference."
