CLOUD INDUSTRY FORUM
The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) is a not-for-profit membership organisation that works to educate end user organisations about cloud computing and campaigns for better standards in the industry.
The Goals
Spreckley has been working with CIF since it was first established in 2008 with the aim of establishing CIF as the leading authority on cloud computing in the UK. CIF’s position in the industry requires it to understand what the market is thinking – not only end users but the Cloud providers themselves – so Spreckley established a market research programme that would provide that insight and fuel PR campaigns, but also be of value to its members.
Now in its sixth year and conducted biannually through Spreckley’s research partner, Vanson Bourne, the research programme has helped to build CIF up as the go-to source of knowledge about cloud computing for journalists, industry professionals and end users and has raised CIF’s profile significantly.
With a body of research that spans back to 2010, CIF now has an important and informed voice in the market, able to discuss how the industry has changed since that time and make informed predictions about how it may yet evolve – from a PR and media profile point of view, this has been invaluable.
