Positioning Kooomo as the go-to supplier for digital commerce management

The client

Kooomo is a next-generation eCommerce platform that is truly redefining digital commerce by offering the best in class, international platform. Kooomo is disrupting the marketplace with its affordable setup and flexible pricing, agility and speed to market. Recognised by Gartner in the Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce, Kooomo is a cloud commerce platform built for global eCommerce businesses. Some of the largest retailers in the UK utilise the platform such as Umbro, Mothercare & MotoGP to name a few.

The goals

As a new entrant to the digital commerce space, Kooomo had low brand awareness and zero share of voice in the UK media. While it had secured some fantastic customers through its sister company, ZeroGrey, it needed to raise awareness of its offering in the UK in order to secure further leads.

Spreckley was therefore tasked with building the brand awareness of and positioning Kooomo as the go-to supplier for digital commerce management within enterprise-level retailers and wholesalers. The success of the campaign was to be measured on share of voice and coverage quantities.

The solution

Spreckley executed a strong media relations and thought leadership campaign, positioning Kooomo as an eCommerce expert within key trade media.

The achievements

Coverage secured

Secured 45+ pieces of coverage in the initial 3-month period, against a target of 21 pieces

Increased share of voice

Kooomo’s key competitors consisted of 11 organisations, including the likes of Shopify, Magento and Salesforce. The main campaign KPI was to raise Kooomo’s share of voice against these competitors from 1% to 10% over a 5-month period. Spreckley achieved this within 2 months

#2 in share of voice

In the 3rd month of working together a 21% share of voice was achieved, with Kooomo ranking in 2nd place against its competitors
