The client
The Enterprise Estonia is Estonia’s national development and innovation agency. It’s responsible for the annual Software Defined Space Conference (SDSC), that takes place in Tallinn, the country’s capital. Over three days, businesspeople, research scientists, investors and govt representatives from across Europe and the world meet to discuss how to solve current and future challenges related to protecting space-based assets.
The goals
Spreckley began working with the team at Enterprise Estonia responsible for organising the annual Software Defined Space Conference (SDSC) in September 2023. Which gave us two months to run a PR campaign for the event, which took place in at the end of November 2023.
The Enterprise Estonia team wanted to build awareness of and interest in the conference ahead of the event and encourage executives from the European and international aerospace, space technology and software development sectors to attend.
The solution
Spreckley recommended showcasing the insight of SDSC 2023’s keynote speakers and previewing the subjects they planned to cover in their talks. We then used these interviews as the basis for three news releases, distributed to press in the weeks leading up to the conference.
The Spreckley team interviewed the following three keynote speakers:
- Paul Liias, Head of Space at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications for Estonia
- Dr Pascal Faucher, Chair of the European Union Space Surveillance and Tracking -Partnership (EU SST)
- Dr Daniel Fischer, Head of Ground System Segment and Cybersecurity Engineering at ESA
The results
Spreckley’s insight-led approach generated a wide range of coverage across the aerospace, space-tech, cybersecurity and wider technology media, along with a write-up in UK national iNews.
The high-profile national news, business and space-tech media coverage included:
